Deputy Police Commissioner Dave Owens blamed mother and father for the near-riot, or the lack thereof.

“There have been a amount of mom and dad down there [but] I would question why there weren’t a larger variety of mom and dad,” he said. “We had 12-, 13- and 14-year-olds [alone] at 3 and 4 a.m. inside morning. They have been becoming crushed up against the barrier.”     - Source
